Counseling Department Mission
The Marine Leadership Academy Counseling Department’s mission is to ensure Equity and Access to a high quality education for every student through collaboration with stakeholders. Students will be prepared in mind, body and character for success in college, career and civic life.
Our diverse body of students are empowered through data-informed, solution focused interventions in pursuit of systemic change that emphasizes a life of service to the global community. MLA students are prepared to be leaders through an education that values Honor, Courage and Commitment equipping them with the attitude, knowledge and skills to pursue social – emotional wellness, academic growth and post-secondary success.
Counseling Department Vision
The Marine Leadership Academy Counseling Department believes success starts here. We envision every student will be supported by a comprehensive school counseling program and graduate prepared for success in their college, career and life endeavors. Alumni will be empowered with the Marine Corps Junior Reserves Officer Training values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. They will be leaders with character who serve others throughout their adult lives.
The counseling office is open everyday from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM or by appointment. Students are invited to visit during their lunch periods or other non-class time.
